House Hotel
Spanish Parade, Galway

This boutique hotel in the heart of Galway City manages to be right in the centre of things and somehow is an oasis of calm. A Protected Structure, the original stone warehouse has been in use as a hotel for some, time but we were given the task of refurbishing the ground floor in 2018. A re-positioned reception desk doubling up as a coffee station serving great Fonte coffee brings life to the entrance. Mid century inspired seating is matched with brass and timber tables and beautiful floating light fittings in double height spaces. Pinks, blues and green fabrics combine with soft grey and limed oak floors combine to make this a sophisticated hangout. The restaurant and bar in a lower dark darker space uses darker greens and blues, mostly leathers and combines with mustards to make this a cosy spot to eat and drink following a spell in the rain soaked west of Ireland. As Architects as well as Interior designers for House Hotel we have just lodged a planning application with Galway City Council for additional bedrooms which we look forward to detailing in the near future.
