Fonté Coffee
Parliament Street, Dublin

A tired computer shop in Dublin’s Parliament street was to be the choice of location for Fonté Coffee to open their first Dublin shop. A new coffee offering from the home of the hipster, Seattle, this quickly became a firm favourite with coffee aficionados in the locale. We had to make the most of the long narrow site; a concrete floor with crisp black and white fittings as a staff training room made good use of the basement; a simply dressed up cool outdoor space accommodated the smoker in privacy to the rear; the simple palette of grey and Carrera marble of the main café allowed the floor to shine: the fold back windows also painted grey with simple graphics gave it a great street presence whilst allowing the street come inside on those sunny summer days.
